Terms of Service
Last updated:
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using FillDef (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and FillDef.
What FillDef Does
FillDef is a web application (for fillable and non-fillable PDFs) and a Chrome extension (for web-form autofill) that share one encrypted local profile. The web app runs in any modern browser; the extension is Chrome-only for now (Firefox and Edge support is planned). A local pattern dictionary handles most fields on your device; an AI provider is used only for unrecognised fields and receives field labels only — never your personal data.
Your Account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
Credits & Billing
FillDef operates on a credit model — not a subscription. Credits are purchased as one-time top-ups and never expire. One fill consumes one credit (free or paid). Free fills reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Paid credits persist indefinitely. Prices are listed in USD and may change with notice.
Acceptable Use
You may use FillDef only for lawful purposes. You must not: use the Service to fill forms with fraudulent or false information; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent rate limits or security controls; resell or sublicense access to the Service; use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
Intellectual Property
FillDef and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of FillDef and its licensors. You retain ownership of your profile data. By using the Service you grant FillDef no rights to your personal profile data — it is encrypted on your device before it touches our servers, and we cannot decrypt it.
Privacy
Our Privacy Architecture page explains how your data is handled technically. Our Privacy Policy covers legal compliance. Your profile is encrypted on your device before it touches our servers — we store only ciphertext we cannot decrypt. AI field-mapping requests contain field labels only — never your profile values.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that fills will be 100% accurate for every form.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FillDef shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to FillDef in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Credits are non-refundable on termination for cause. Credits unused at voluntary account closure are handled under our Refund Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by posting the new Terms here and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction, depending on applicable consumer-protection rules in your jurisdiction.
